Add vegan condensed milk, brown sugar, vanilla extract and dairy-free margarine to a pan.

Step 2:

Turn the heat on and stir gently but continuously. It will begin to turn darker in colour.

Step 3:

When temperature reaches 118°C, remove the caramel from the heat.
