Happy January! I have been meaning to create this post ever since I created Baked by Clo over 4 years ago. There seems to be a real lack of vegan Burn’s Night recipes out there and I wanted to change that.
If you don’t know, Burn’s Night is a Scottish holiday on the 25th of January, to celebrate the life of Scottish poet, Robert Burns. Many people across Scotland hold a Burn’s Night supper, which involves eating traditional Scottish food, wearing traditional Scottish clothing like Kilts, and reciting Scottish poems.
Being a food blogger, I’m not much help with the poetry side of things but I can provide the Scottish recipes! In this case, vegan Scottish recipes!
I make mostly dessert recipes for my blog and I’ve included a few of my favourites Scottish ones in this post. For the savoury Scottish recipes, I have enlisted the help of some other talented bloggers. The savoury recipes below are linked with permission from Christina Cucina, Tinned Tomatoes, Neil’s Healthy Meals, Moon and Spoon and Yum, Cinnamon and Kale, and My Vegan Minimalist. Make sure to check out their blogs for more recipes.
