Meringue-based desserts
First, let’s start with the meringue-based vegan desserts. These can be a little tricky if you’re a beginner vegan baker but if you follow the instructions closely, you can make these beautiful desserts that are guaranteed to impress your guests.
Pavlova
Yes, you can make a crispy, chewy pavlova without eggs! This one uses aquafaba but tastes just like the real deal. Top it with dairy-free whipped cream and fresh fruit.
Don't worry if you have a pavlova fail- you can use the pieces to make this lovely Eton mess. It's made with pavlova pieces, dairy-free whipped cream, strawberry sauce and fresh strawberries.
Next up are the cheesecakes. I’ve picked two of my favourites for this post but I have a whole other post with 10 no-bake vegan cheesecake recipes.
Biscoff Cheesecake
If you love Biscoff then you HAVE to try this cheesecake- it's one of my most popular recipes to date! A crunchy Biscoff biscuit base and an indulgent, creamy Biscoff topping.
This tart is made with a crumbly chocolate short crust pastry and a rich, glossy chocolate ganache. This is sure to be enjoyed by all chocolate lovers.
A no-bake pie made up of a crunchy Digestive biscuit base, sliced bananas, homemade caramel and dairy-free whipped cream. It can be made from scratch and ready to eat in just 90 minutes.
If you've never heard of Dutch apple pie, think of it as a mixture of apple pie and apple crumble. A short crust pastry case filled with sweetly-spiced apple pie filling, topped with a crumbly streusel topping.
These desserts are great if you’ve had a big meal and just fancy something small for dessert.
Baklava
Baklava is super sweet and goes perfectly alongside a warm drink. Layers of crispy, 'buttery' filo pastry, a nutty filling and a sweet, sticky homemade sugar syrup.
Here are my two favourite cookie recipes that are perfect for any dinner party dessert.
Warm Cookie Dough Skillet
A half-baked, giant chocolate chip cookie that's crisp on the outside and gooey in the middle. It's best served fresh from the oven with some vegan vanilla ice cream.
Next up are the cakes and brownies. Here are 7 delicious desserts fit for a vegan dinner party.
Coffee & Walnut Cake
Fluffy coffee flavoured cake with chunks of walnuts throughout. Add some homemade vegan cream cheese frosting on top and you've got a flavour match made in heaven!
This is a super easy ginger cake that can be made without treacle. It's topped with sweet vegan cream cheese frosting which perfectly balances out the fiery ginger flavour.
This may not be a typical dinner party dessert but when paired with vegan homemade vegan custard, it is sure to be a hit! Soft, fluffy vanilla cake topped with a simple icing and colourful sprinkles- just like the old fashioned school dinner cake.
Sticky date pudding topped with a sweet, rich toffee sauce. This one is best served warm with dairy-free ice cream. You won't be able to stop at just one serving!
Super fudgy, chewy brownies with chunks of dairy-free white chocolate throughout. These are perfect if you want to make your dinner party dessert a in advance because they taste even better after being in the fridge for a day or two!
These last 4 desserts are not to be underestimated! They didn’t quite fit into any of the other categories above so I put them in their own category. Enjoy!
Biscoff Cinnamon Rolls
Soft, fluffy cinnamon rolls with a sticky Biscoff cream cheese icing. These are great for tearing and sharing.
Strawberry trifle is a British classic but this one is made without eggs or dairy. Layers of vegan vanilla cake, strawberry jam, fresh strawberries, homemade custard and dairy-free whipped cream.
This 2 ingredient fondue makes a fun vegan dinner party dessert. Pair it with sweet dippers such as fruit, vegan marshmallows, pretzels, or anything else you like! Check out my fondue dippers post for more ideas.
Sweet, soft apple crumble with a touch of cinnamon. This is another dessert that is best served warm. Pair it with vegan cream, custard or ice cream- the choice is yours!
