25 Vegan New Year’s Desserts
Looking for some vegan New Year’s Eve desserts? This post is for you! Whether it’s a Hogmanay party, a quiet gathering or a sit-down family meal, this dessert roundup is sure to have something that suits your needs. It includes tasty treats such as pavlova, chocolate fudge cake and Biscoff cheesecake.
When I first went vegan, New Year’s desserts were out of the question for me if I wanted something ready-made (unless you could count bourbon biscuits as dessert). There just weren’t many options back then!
I hadn’t started this blog yet either, so I wasn’t quite sure how to make my own desserts from scratch. So I decided I’d create this post for anyone who may be in the same boat now as I was then. I promise, you can create the most decadent, show-stopping vegan desserts for New Year’s Eve or Hogmanay as the Scottish like to call it).

1. Yule log
A beautiful chocolate roll cake filled with dairy-free vanilla buttercream and coated in creamy ganache. The perfect centrepiece dessert for any New Year’s Eve party!
2. Pavlova
There are no eggs needed for this pavlova! Use aqua faba instead to whip up this beautiful treat that looks and tastes like like the real thing. Fill it with dairy-free cream and your choice of fresh fruit.
3. Strawberry trifle
A vegan hogmanay desserts list wouldn’t be complete without a good old trifle now, would it? This one is made up of layers of vegan vanilla cake, strawberry jam, fresh fruit, dairy-free cream and custard.
4.Biscoff cheesecake
This recipe is a must-try for all Biscoff lovers! A Biscoff biscuit base topped with delicious vanilla and Biscoff filling. A rich, creamy dessert that is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
5. Strawberry cheesecake
If Biscoff’s not your thing, try this strawberry cheesecake instead. It’s made with a Digestive biscuit base, a creamy vanilla filling and a gooey strawberry topping.
6. Macarons
Thought you could never enjoy macarons again as a vegan? Think again. These French-style macarons are made with aquafaba and filled with dairy-free buttercream.
7. Chocolate fudge cake
A decadent chocolate cake with rich chocolate fudge frosting. This is the perfect vegan New Year’s dessert because who doesn’t love chocolate cake?!
8. Vanilla tray bake
A classic vanilla sheet cake with the nostalgic topping of white icing and colourful sprinkles. This one is super easy to make so it’s perfect for beginner bakers.
9. Oreo truffles
You’ll only need 3 ingredients to make these tasty truffles. These are perfect for New Year buffets or party tables.
10. Mini lemon loaves
Another snacky-style Hogmanay dessert, these mini lemon loaves are super cute and dainty. Enjoy with zesty lemon icing on top.
11. Biscoff truffles
Similar to the Oreo truffles, this Biscoff version requires just 3 ingredients to make. They taste like mini bites of cheesecakey goodness. This one has been a favourite vegan Hogmanay dessert in our household for years.
12. Sticky toffee pudding
A rich, sticky date cake with toffee sauce on top. A British classic without the eggs or dairy.
13. Biscoff cake
This is one of the most popular desserts on my blog EVER and for good reason! It’s perfect for parties and will go down a treat a New Year’s!
14. Bakewell tart
Shortcrust pastry filled with cherry conserve, almond frangipane, glace cherries and flaked almonds. The perfect dessert to feed a crowd.
15. Chocolate loaf cake
A light, fluffy chocolate loaf covered with creamy chocolate ganache. This is the recipe for you if you love quick and simple desserts!
16. Banoffee pie
Banoffee pie is a British dessert that’s made up of a biscuit base, a caramel and banana filling and a fresh cream topping. This version is completely dairy-free and makes one of the best New Year’s Eve desserts ever!
17. Peanut butter fudge
Another great recipe for snacking on throughout the evening is this peanut butter fudge. It contains just 3 ingredients and will melt in your mouth.
18. Cinnamon rolls
Pillowy-soft cinnamon rolls topped with vegan cream cheese icing. A great tear-n-share dessert for parties.
19. Chocolate tart
Chocolate shortcrust pastry filled with semi-sweet chocolate ganache. A rich, creamy dessert that is so moreish!
20. Rocky road
If you have children to feed on New Year’s Eve, this rocky road is the perfect dessert for them. It’s filled with mini marshmallows, popcorn, pretzels and more!
21. Subway style cookies
If you want a more casual vegan New Year’s Eve dessert, try these cookies. They are just like Subway’s chocolate cookies- you won’t be able to tell the difference!
22. Mint brownies
Delicious brownies with peppermint flavouring a vegan ‘After Eight’ thin mints. If you like your brownies gooey and chewy, you will love this recipe.
23. Macadamia nut cookies
Soft and chewy cookies with a slightly crunch. Filled with vanilla flavours and chunks of macadamia nuts.
24. Eton mess
Remember the pavlova from earlier in this post? You can also use it to make this Eton mess! It’s a cream-based dessert, filled with pavlova pieces, strawberry sauce and fresh fruit.
25. Baklava
Pistachios and walnuts are the filling for this impressive baklava. No dairy or honey needed!
